The story is really not about us, but you. MHM was created in 2002 based on the premise that the state of Colorado (and the country) needed a better value added model for the Medical Alarm business. The web site you see reflects a different approach. It is about what you need, not about what we do.
Dan Nicholson, who started MHM after a checkered career in hospitals and multi-hospital group purchasing, and then Home Health Care for 12 years, thought the lessons were transferable. After many years of just providing services, Dan felt the urge to work with something tangible. The defining moment came when Dan was doing HHC consulting in Fort Collins, CO and met a client using an MD2 medication management dispenser. The idea of providing this type of equipment as a means to keeping people safe at home as long as possible was appealing.
The story of Mountain Home Medical is a story of providing personalized proactive service for state case managers, clients and families. In the real world this means building relationships that matter as a way to create the best outcomes for safety in the home.
We have built a caring, committed and talented team that makes service personal and real.
Building relationships, innovation, and a diverse array of tools has allowed MHM to become a leader in electronic monitoring in Colorado. Our business philosophy is that we will do well by doing what is right and needed. What needs to be done and done well drives our daily activity.
Dan Nicholson is a former Army Medic and Certified Hospital Purchasing Manager. He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a BS in Secondary Education and earned an MBA from University of St. Thomas, Mpls., MN. Dan was President of the Home Care Association of Colorado (HCAC), was a founding member, Treasurer and President of Habitat for Humanity of Teller County, and served as Treasurer and President of Habitat for Humanity of Colorado.
The dates behind all these events will not be disclosed. However, despite a life changing accident in 2007, Dan is currently driving MHM to the next level, for you.
