Mountain Home Medical was started in 2002. We began with zero clients and zero dollars. Dan Nicholson, who owns and started the company, has spent most of his career in hospitals and Home Health Care. He was a certified Hospital Purchasing agent, worked for a multi hospital system in Materials services division and had 200 hospital clients nationwide.

In 1989 after a mid life career crisis which led to an MBA, he gravitated to what looked like an up and coming arena called Home Care. The Sisters of Charity Health Care System moved the Nicholsons out to Colorado in 1992. After stints in various HHC operations in Colorado, Utah and Idaho and being President of the state HHC association, Dan was consulting for an individual starting a doomed to fail HHC operation in Ft. Collins, Colorado. This created the environment of looking for options and change. In this process, Dan stumbled onto an MD2 medication unit and the lights went on. The story unfolds with Dan starting Mountain Home Medical and getting a Medicaid number, and tying in with Pioneer Medical. Serendipity turned the clock full circle with the client that started all this later being turned over to MHM.

Today we are the leading provider of innovative medical alarm tools and medication management technology in Colorado.
